Hey Farm Friends,

We thought it was time to introduce you to some of the most unique members of our herd — our Brahman cattle!

You may have seen them out in the pasture — they’re the ones with the signature hump over their shoulders and those big floppy ears. But there’s more to these animals than their looks!

🐄 So, What Are Brahman Cattle?

Brahman cattle originated from India and are known for their heat toleranceresilience, and gentle nature. Here in Arkansas, that means they thrive in our hot summers and handle bugs and humidity better than most other breeds.

We raise Brahman-influenced cattle at HP 4 Farm because of their:

  • Efficiency on pasture — they do well on grass alone
  • Strong maternal instincts
  • Hardiness and longevity
  • Calm, docile temperament (especially when treated with care and respect)

Their genetics also help improve the quality of the beef, producing tender, lean cuts when crossed with other breeds.

🌿 Why They Matter to Our Mission

Our goal has always been to raise healthy, happy animals in a way that respects nature and delivers high-quality meat to your family. Brahman cattle are a big part of making that possible.

They embody the kind of farming we believe in: intentional, sustainable, and deeply connected to the land.

As always, thank you for supporting local, regenerative agriculture. It means the world to us!

With gratitude,
Jamie, Jaycee, Jed & Jenna
